How old do I have to be to enter Shoot The Face?
You need to be the age of majority in your country of residence, which for most countries is 18 years old.
How should I name my images?
Please name your files in the format of the following examples.
Name: John Jackson
Contest: May 2012
eg. johnjackson.may2012.image1.jpg
Any additional images submitted to the same monthly contest should be numbered accordingly (image2).
eg. johnjackson.may2012.image2.jpg
Can I pay with Credit Card?
Yes, when you get to the Paypal page you will have the option to pay with a card.
Why won’t why my image upload?
This could be for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, try using a different Browser. Example, if your using Safari, try using Firefox.
Your image could be too big; particularly of you have slow Internet. Make sure your image is less than 1Mb.
Make sure you image is a jpg. file.
Also try to clear the Cookies and Cache on you browser, this might help.
What size should my images be?
Uploaded images should be in jpg file format.
Your image should be 800 pixels tall. (Diagram Below)
The maximum file size for uploaded images is 1 Mb.
The optimal image resolution is 200dpi.
How do I resize my images?
There are lots of different programs that you can use to resize an image. The most common programs are Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. There are also many free programs and sites online, that you can use.
I uploaded my images, but I didn’t get a confirmation email from Shoot The Face.
If this is the case, just shoot us an email from the Contact page, we will sort it out for you.
After paying with Paypal, I get a message that says, ‘Invalid Action’.
If your screen has a message that says ‘Invalid Action’, just hit ‘SUBMIT ENTRY’ again and you will be able to upload your images.
